L'Oreal....it's Magic!!

I was recently given the opportunity to try L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream. I have tried BB Creams in the past and never really found them to be that different from my usual liquid foundation.  I like sheer coverage on my face.  Enough to even out my skin tone (sometimes I get red areas) and cover any blemishes, etc.  The BB Creams I'd tried in the past didn't really make a big enough difference to me, in order to justify the price.  But I'm always down for trying new things.  I figure how could I find something that works even better if I don't try new things.  So when I was offered a trial of this L'Oreal BB Cream, I was all over it...immediately excited about the word Magic :)
I did a little research and read that this BB Cream offers 4 Beautifying Actions in One. It Hydrates, Primes, Perfects, Corrects. Flawless bare skin finish. Sounds good to me!  I use a moisturizer every day, but sometimes it's not enough.  It would be nice if my makup could hydrate my skin too.  I'm interested in the priming feature because I think it would be great to have my makeup stay on my face all day...or at least through the work day.  Also, I'd like the product to correct my skin flaws and not just cover them up.

When I got the trial product, I immediately opened it and applied some to my finger. The first thing I noticed is that the product is white. I was surprised! I knew the shade was fair, but I'm not that fair! Then I discovered that was part of the "magic" I realized that there were "Beautifying Beads" or encapsulated pigments infused in lotion.  So when I rub the product in my skin, the color comes out and blends with my skin tone.  When I blend it in, it is an exact match to my skin, not too light or too dark.  The next thing I noticed was the texture. It felt very silky smooth on my skin, without drying my skin out. My skin felt really velvety, but not dry as it would with powder or some of those oil absorbing products. It's a very nice feeling.  The coverage is not too thick, it doesn't settle into fine lines, it doesn't cake into dryer areas of my skin.  It seems to reduce the size of my pores, or at least makes them appear smaller.  I like that it doesn't irritate my skin, and there isn't an overwhelming (or noticeable) fragrance. The only thing I can think of that might be missing is that I wish there was an SPF in the cream.  I will continue to use my every day SPF facial cream, but I do like it when that can be incorporated in to my makeup as well.

I haven't noticed any long term changes to my skin yet, other than a slight difference in my pores. But I think that continued use will make a difference. So far this product is a winner, and I'm planning on adding it to my usual makeup routine.

I'd like to thank SheSpeaks and L'Oreal for giving me the opportunity to try and review this product. I received this complimentary product from SheSpeaks and L'Oreal in exchange for this review.  All opinions expressed here are my own.
